Tessa Community Garden

By organizing the Tessa Community Garden we aim to educate the community about food systems and resource accessibility by bringing them into participation with independent food production.

Our efforts with the Tessa Community Garden began in 2006. Before establishing our permanent garden in Santa Fe, we worked in various locations, including Colorado. The garden in Santa Fe allies with existing efforts for food availability by supplying donations to the Food Depot, Kitchen Angels, as well as providing personal donations to those in need.

The experience of working together to achieve such a simple goal as eating fresh local food is one of the little treasures of life that can make a difference, in ourselves and ultimately in the culture as a whole.

Donate to Tessa Community Garden

Our garden is always in need of attention, as a garden naturally is. We appreciate donations that can assist us in acquiring the following:

  • Gardening tools for volunteers
  • Supplies to build more garden beds
  • Materials for expanding our gardens
  • Seeds for planting

The more equipment we have to help us garden, the more food we can grow to give to those in need. If you are interested in donating to Tessa Community Gardens please write “TESSA GARDEN” in the “PURPOSE” bar when you donate. Thank you for supporting accessibility to nutritious foods.
